Before you come

What a walk actually looks like.

Three to four hours, mostly standing still and looking at things. No fitness requirement, no equipment needed.

Bring water, closed shoes, a cap and a notebook. Binoculars help but we carry spares. We start at first light because that is when the birds are active, which means leaving home in the dark — plan the ride back before you set out.

Children under twelve are welcome with a parent. Tell us in advance if anyone in the group needs a slower route.

Register

Message the rescue number on WhatsApp with your name, the walk date, and how many people are coming.

Confirmation

You get the meeting point and time the evening before. Sites change with water levels.

Cost

Free for students. Others contribute what they can towards travel for the field team.
